In the midst of ‘the millenium city’ Gurgaon and the backdrop of the fast paced corporate hub lies the sprawling and serene 40 acre campus of MDI, Gurgaon. This institute prides itself for its highly advantageous strategic location and beautiful, well maintained campus. MDI, Gurgaon also boasts of the first golf course across all management schools in India. The location and campus make up for a wonderful Industrial Interaction as well as a high quality student life.

Life at MDI is marked by a well maintained balance of academic rigour as well as activities of self indulgence. With a batch size of 330 across all post graduate programs, the spirit of competitiveness is high. Also taken care of is the all round development of students through a plethora of extra-curricular activities.  There is a student driven body for each and every activity, including sports, cultural and social activities. MDI envisions itself as a global b-school producing thought leaders and change masters. In tandem with its vision, the B school strives to achieve global standards in each activity it endeavors. The student events are organized under the nurturing and watchful eyes of the faculty. This helps the students gain a huge learning experience from all activities they are a part of. This synergetic student-faculty relationship helps students touch a higher level of effectiveness in their environment. This is well exemplified by Samaritans, a student interest group conducting social activities, who are at present working with the Haryana Urban Development Association on Bal Urja Rakshak Mission- a project of spreading awareness regarding conservation of energy among the youth.

Fall at MDI is marked by a series of fun-filled and educational events. Illumina is the disguised marketing festival of MDI wherein market research activity is conducted under the garb of a Diwali Mela and the participants are unaware of their being researched upon! Around the same time, MDI hosts its annual national management convention Delphique. This convention showcases the talent of MDI through an industry- guided research over about 3 months. This event is marked by the presence of stalwarts like Nobel Laureate Dr. R K Pachauri. And dare we not mention the flagship event of MDI- Imperium! The three day event is a delight to every ManDevIan (as the student fraternity of MDI likes to call itself) with innovative business games, on the spot activities, niche events like Hasya Kavi Sammelan and energetic concerts performed by high profile bands like Parikrama and Indian Ocean
A substantial aspect of MDI is its International linkages. MDI has partnered with near to 50 institutes across the globe. Every year, over a hundred foreign students from all over visit MDI for academic purposes. In the PGP IM (Post Graduate Programme in International Management) course that is conducted in association with ESCP-EAP Europe, the class is a mix of Indian and foreign students. This makes up for an excellent cross cultural interaction and learning resulting into an education consisting of an in-depth global perspective that is highly essential for today’s manager.

MDI, Gurgaon has a healthy blend of academicians, policy makers, administrators and managers to deliver the knowledge and skills of the corporate world. MDI's faculty members have contributed to state-of-the art research through papers published in leading international journals. They have also contributed articles to leading business magazines and newspapers. Many faculty have converted their rich experience into books.
