Joint ManagementEntrance Test(JMET ) is the first step in the process of admission to theTWOYEAR FULL TIME Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered bythe IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur,IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.
JMET is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to applyseparately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised tolook up the details provided in the online e-brochure about theprogrammes available in the participating Institutes. There is no limitto the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he orshe meets the eligibility criteria.
The results of JMET provide a basis to each participatingInstitute to shortlist potential candidates for conducting its ownselection process like, Group Discussion/Interview etc. However, calling the candidates for such later process of selection is theprerogative of the admitting Institute. JMET qualifiedcandidatesmay contact the management departments/schools of the concernedinstitutes for additional information, if any. It may be noted that theGATE/JMET offices will not respond to queries on the admissionprocedure.
Candidates should note that the final selection would depend on theirperformance in each of the components of the selection process.
