FMS JEMAT (West Bengal University of Technology)

JEMAT(Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test) is an entrance examination conducted by West Bengal University of Technology for admission to various post graduate management programs conducted by various management institutes under West Bengal University of Technology. A large number of candidates from West Bengal appear for JEMAT to get admission in the best management institutes in West Bengal.


There are about 35 management institutes in West Bengal in which admission is through JEMAT. Candidates have to first appear for a written test. Those candidates who clear the written test are called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selections are done.

BooksEligibility Criteria

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institute. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply if there examination get over before June 2010 and results get published by September, 2010.

BooksExam Pattern

All Candidates have to first give a written test. Candidates who clear the written test will be called for Personal Interview and General Discussion. Final selection will be based on the following weightages:Written Test(80%);Personal Interview(10%);Geeneral Discussion(10%).

Written test will be of 2 hours duration consisting of objective type questions of 100 marks divided into three sections:

Section I:English-40 Marks
Section II:Mathematics-40 Marks
Section III:Logical Resoning-20 Marks
