Eligibility for MBA AdmissionThe minimum qualification required to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in each of the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent) and for the graduation examinations conducted by a Board/ University.
For those who aspire to be part of MBA - MS Program at Bengaluru, offered jointly by Amrita School of Business and University at Buffalo, New York, a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Secondary/Higher Secondary/Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent) and for the graduation examinations conducted by a Board/ University is required. Minimum IBT - TOEFL score of 79 is a must for the students aspiring for MBA - MS Program.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations and viva-voce, if any, before 30th June 2011. Such candidates will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish consolidated marks sheet by 31st October 2011 and the degree certificate by 31st December 2011. In the event of an admitted student failing to meet the eligibility criteria, he/she will be required to withdraw from the programme. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they are advised to produce a letter from their college Principal/Head of Institution stating the examination dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will have an added advantage for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage (both in terms of where they have worked and the duration of work experience).
Admission TestAll candidates seeking admission to Amrita's MBA Program are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in November / December 2010 and / or GRE.
MAT (AIMA) scores are also accepted at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Kochi campuses.
NRI and students of foreign origin are required to take the GMAT test (Maximum of five percent NRI and /or foreign candidates may be admitted through GMAT with a minimum score of 550) and they should process their application through Director Corporate and International Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Coimbatore, India.
