About the Institute

The University which started with only seven departments in 1929 has, over the last 80 years, developed into a mighty institution of higher learning with nearly 49 Departments, in all 9 Faculties. This is one of the very few institutions in India with all the Faculties located in the same campus.The University can be proud of a well equipped Central Library and Laboratories providing very good facilities for taking up research projects, for Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral work. Several Research Projects have been undertaken by various Faculties funded by several agencies including the State and Central Governments. A close interaction has been developed between the institution and the neighbouring industries for promotion of research and training programmes.

Eligibility

Any Graduate (except 10+2+2 pattern)

Applicants who have qualified themselves in P.G. Diploma in Management Programmes of any recognized University / Institution and those who have worked in Managerial / Executive / Supervisory cadre in a Manufacturing / Marketing / Banking / Service organizations are eligible and will be given preference

Application Form

The Application Form with Prospectus can be obtained (i) in person from the Directorate or any of its Study Centres on payment of Application Fee of Rs. 250/- by cash or (ii) by post, sending a requisition to The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar - 608 002 along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 290/- drawn in favour of The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University. The Application Form will be sent by ordinary post.

The application is not transferable and the application for admission should be in the prescribed form of the year 2009 - 2010 and only the form issued by the Directorate or its Study Centres should be used.
